→Troubleshooting 1- Fingerprint function issue
The first thing to check is whether the fingerprint cover is opened and blue light is on when the fingerprint button is pressed while the door is closed
If fingerprint cover is not working and there is an error tone:
- A fingerprint might not be registered
- If the same thing happens during the fingerprint registration process, the fingerprint sensor must be faulty, and the outbody should be replaced
If fingerprint cover is working, but fingerprint is not recognised:
- Fingerprint might not be registered correctly
- If only one person’s fingerprint is not working properly or it works sometimes, it’s better to register the fingerprint again
- The best way to register the fingerprint properly is to:
- Use an adult-sized finger (thumbprints and kids’ fingers would cause an issue)
- Place the finger deep inside, so the centre of the fingerprint is located at the point of the edge of the nail
- The finger might be too dry
- Blow breath onto the finger and try again
- The fingerprint sensing area might be dirty or scratched
- If it is dirty, the user should clean the surface with a dry cloth
- Also the surface should be checked for any scratches
