→Troubleshooting 5- Internal handle does not unlock the deadbolt

There is 1 possible scenario as to why the internal handle does not allow the user to unlock the deadbolt:

The handle shaft is disengaged from the mortise

• Handle shaft pin was not inserted into the handle shaft hole, as shown in picture below
  
• Insertion of the handle shaft pin into the handle shaft hole prevents the handle shaft from moving and disengaging with the mortise
